Our Mission

PetPro-tectors™ is an educational platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or out to harm any pet, person, company, corporation, or entity. Our sole purpose is to educate pet owners about what is in the food they feed their animals — using publicly available ingredient data, AAFCO standards, and veterinary research.

Scores and grades reflect ingredient quality based on established nutritional guidelines and are not a substitute for veterinary advice. As our database grows, we will use that data to point consumers toward better options — including higher-quality products from the same brand or parent company when they exist.

We believe informed consumers make better choices. That is the only agenda here.

Scoring Philosophy — All Foods Are Created Equal

Like humanity itself, every food enters this platform with a perfect score of 100 points. No food is pre-judged. No brand is favored or targeted. Every product begins at the same place. What happens next is determined entirely by what is inside the bag or can — nothing more, nothing less.

Per-Ingredient Penalties:
☠️ Cancer-linked ingredient: −8 pts each
❌ High-risk / harmful ingredient: −5 pts each
⚠️ Watch-list ingredient: −3 pts each
🟡 Moderate concern ingredient: −2 pts each
✅ Safe / good ingredient: 0 pts (the baseline expectation)

Structural Penalties (applied in addition to ingredient penalties):
No named whole-meat protein in the top 3 ingredients: −20 pts
Primary protein is a by-product, digest, or unspecified: −15 pts
Contains animal digest, animal by-product meal, or meat and bone meal: −10 pts
Three or more filler starches / refined carbs present: −10 pts
Artificial colors present: −8 pts

The score floor is 0. No food scores below zero. A food earns its grade — we do not assign it.

Sponsorship Policy

AlphAlphaOmega Technologies™ will never accept sponsorships, partnerships, paid placements, or compensation of any kind from any pet, person, company, corporation, or entity operating within the fields of pet care, pet toys, pet nutrition, pet health, veterinary services, or anything related to animals, animal food, human food, or food of any kind in any form. Our ratings and scores are not for sale — now or in any future product.

However, we are openly enthusiastic about sponsorships from individuals, companies, corporations, and entities operating in entirely unrelated fields, dimensions, and universes.

Accuracy & Corrections Policy

AlphAlphaOmega Technologies™ and PetPro-tectors™ are committed to accuracy above all else. We are not infallible. Science evolves, new research emerges, and mistakes happen. If any ingredient rating, score, penalty, or piece of information published on this platform is found to be incorrect, outdated, or in conflict with credible scientific or regulatory evidence, we will review it promptly. If the error is confirmed, we will correct and update it as quickly as possible and without hesitation.

We will never allow pride, convenience, or commercial pressure to stand between this platform and the truth. If you believe something we have published is wrong, contact us — we take every challenge to our data seriously.
